Description:
Padmé is proof that beauty and power can come in small packages. She carries herself with dignity and grace, never letting those who seek to deter her from doing what she knows is right see her weaknesses. To those she loves, she is quick to smile and to laugh, letting down her guard.
First Impressions: She will seem reserved at first. Polite, of course, but wary of opening up. There is something about her that almost seems untouchable - like she wears her own armor, though it is invisible to the naked eye.

"So this is how liberty dies.
With thunderous
applause."
Born on Naboo, Padmé had a rather humble beginning. Regardless, she was identified as bright at a young age and she devoted her childhood to public service. At eight, she joined the Apprentice Legislators and earned the position of junior senatorial adviser. Then, at twelve, she participated in the Legislative Youth Program. In the midst of her various activities for said program, she met an older boy named Paolo. He became her first love, however the relationship was doomed to fail when he moved away from politics to become an artist instead.
Yet the heart-break did not keep her from moving forward. Around the same time Paolo left, Padmé began a two year mandate as supervisor of Theed. Then, two years later, she became Queen of Naboo. During her reign as Queen, Padmé dealt with a major crisis concerning the Trade Federation laying siege to Naboo. It was during those oftentimes violent and rough negotiations that she met with the Jedi and ended up on a planet called Tatooine. There, she met a small boy named Anakin Skywalker, who helped them raise money for ship parts. By doing so - and participating in a pod-race - he freed himself from slavery. With his freedom, he accompanied the Jedi and Padmé in disguise as a handmaiden.
Once they arrived to a planet called Coruscant, Padmé revealed her true identity and spoke with Palpatine concerning what should be done about the Senate. He advised her to speak against a well-meaning Senator and she initially refused. However, after seeing how the Senators behaved, she changed her mind and voted against him. She was determined to reclaim her planet without the Senate's help.
Her plan was to unite the Gungans - a species native to Naboo - and it worked. The battle was a victory and in an official ceremony, she congratulated all involved and handed over the Globe of Peace to the leader of the Gungans (thus establishing peace between his kind and hers).
Then, after two terms as Queen, she stepped down from the position (despite her people wishing her to remain Queen) and she became a Senator instead, still fighting for the rights of her people (just on a different level). As a Senator, she had a brief relationship with Senator Rush Clovis, however she was the one to end it. She also became a member of Chancellor Palpatine's Loyalist Committee thanks to her opposition of the Military Creation Act (which would allow Palpatine to commission a Grand Army of the Republic).
Due to her stance on the Military Creation Act, Padmé was nearly assassinated, however one of her handmaidens died in her place. After said attempt on her life, Anakin Skywalker came back into her life and did his utmost to protect her - though she often did not like the restrictions (or his haughty attitude concerning what was best). However, over time, she began to soften to him and once she (and he as her guard) returned to Naboo, their relationship blossomed.
Anakin admitted his feelings for her and she knew she returned them, yet they decided to not pursue a relationship due to their occupations/statuses. Padmé could not stay away from him after he received Force visions about his mother, however, and she traveled with him to Tatooine to find her. Unfortunately Anakin could not rescue Shmi in time and she died in his arms. He committed a horrible act in rage and pain thereafter and then revealed what he had done to Padmé. She comforted him as best as she could, but the news unnerved her.
Padmé then accompanied Anakin as he defied orders and went to rescue his Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. The pair failed miserably at the task and they too were captured and sent to be executed in an arena. Right before they entered said arena, she confessed her love to Anakin, seeing no reason to hide it any longer since she assumed they were about to die.
Yet they all managed to survive the encounter - Padmé with some scars on her back - and then they entered the Battle of Geonosis without pausing to catch their breath. Somehow they survived that too and shortly after, they flew back to Naboo to be secretly married.
After the Battle of Geonosis, Padmé once again spoke with Palpatine about Naboo's (new) security measures. During said conversation, he informed her that Jabba the Hutt thought Anakin had kidnapped Rotta, his son, and that because of said "kidnapping", Jabba was refusing to accept any negotiations. Instead of going directly to Jabba, Padmé instead approached Ziro, Jabba's Uncle (who was located on Coruscant). However Count Dooku interfered with Padmé's plans - giving Ziro promises of leadership over the Hutts - and she was forced to try to sneak back into his mansion - where she learned of Dooku's promises - and she was caught and imprisoned. Ziro planned to kill her because she was too dangerous, but she was able to contact C3PO for rescue in the knick of time. He, Coruscant Guard Commander Fox and his troops rescued her and she contacted Jabba, telling him of Ziro's treachery. As a result, they were able to write up a treaty between the Republic and the Hutts.
Sometime later, Palpatine sent her on a mission to negotiate with the Banking Clan about withdrawing from the war. She took C3PO with her and soon discovered that she had entered a trap. Upon her arrival, she was caught in a battle between the Republic fleet and the Confederacy's heavy cruiser, the Malevolence. The tractor beam on said ship made it impossible for her to move away from the conflict and even though she told the Republic to keep fighting, Anakin eventually gave orders for them to stop.
Once her ship landed, she rigged it to explode and she and C3PO escaped General Grievous within the Malevolence. There, she contacted Anakin and Obi-Wan, requesting a rescue. They met her halfway and soon, she and Anakin were separated from Obi-Wan, C3PO and R2D2. She and Anakin programmed the Malevolence to fly into a moon and then they all escaped safely.
Later still, Padmé and C3PO traveled to Rodia to convince Senator Onaconda Farr to remain loyal to the Republic. Upon her arrival, she learned that she was too late and Farr had pledged his loyalty to the Separatists in exchange for supplies and the protection the Republic could not give them. She was quickly taken into custody to await Viceroy Nute Gunray's arrival.
Thankfully Jar Jar Binks was able to evade capture and he donned a discarded Jedi robe from Padmé's ship. The enemy assumed he was a Jedi and upon hearing the news, Padmé was able to outwit the battle droids guarding her and escape her prison cell. She was disappointed to learn the Jedi was only Jar Jar Binks, but, together, they were able to rescue C3PO who was scheduled to become scrap metal.
However when Viceroy Nute Gunray arrived, Padmé was seemingly trapped by him. That was until Farr intervened and ensured the Viceroy's capture. The Viceroy then became a prisoner of the Republic and Farr apologized for his (albeit brief) betrayal. Padmé assured him it was the Republic who should apologize for not seeing to Rodia's needs better.
News then came from Hondo Ohnaka's pirate gang that Count Dooku had been captured. She advised Palpatine to send two Jedi to ascertain the prisoner was the Count - as it seemed odd that a pirate gang could overwhelm and capture him. No ransom should be delivered until the identity was proven genuine.
Jar Jar Binks and Padmé returned to Naboo, then, on the behest of Queen Neeyutnee. A squad of battle droids had been found on the planet and the Queen wished for more protection from the Republic. Padmé needed more evidence before approaching the Senate, so she searched the planet herself. In the swamplands, she found a hatch which she couldn't open. She contacted Captain Tycho and gave him the location of the lab. Unfortunately in their efforts to open the hatch, they were captured by battle droids and brought before Doctor Nuvo Vindi, a Separatist scientist who had perfected a virus he wished to unleash on the galaxy (the Blue Shadow Virus).
Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka arrived in time to aid her and Anakin was able to rescue her and Binks before the Doctor killed them. The Doctor then fled with everyone in pursuit - only for them to realize that one of the Doctor's bombs was missing. Padmé remembered him giving it to a little droid. She and Binks cornered the droid and soon the bomb was deactivated. Vindi was captured for trial shortly thereafter by the Jedi and a squad of clones.
However, when the bombs were examined, one vial of the virus was missing. It had been released in the lab by Vindi's assistant droid LEP-86C8. The facility locked down with Ahsoka, Padmé, Binks and some clones inside. The droids outside tried to tear into the laboratory so that the virus could be released into Naboo's atmosphere and as Ahsoka, Padmé, Binks and the Clones fought droids inside, Padmé biohazard suit was breached and she became infected with the virus.
Ahsoka too contracted the virus and though they kept fighting the droids, they feared they would die. Fortunately they were able to contact Anakin and Obi-Wan in time. The pair rescued them and administered a cure - thus ensuring the galaxy was safe from the virus.
After the Battle of Malastare, Padmé's concerns turned towards the Zillo Beast, which had been captured and brought to Coruscant. She tried to use her relationship with Anakin and Palpatine to see to the poor creature's release. However it escaped before she could do anything, its sights set on annihilating Palpatine, who had ordered its execution.
She, Anakin, C3PO, R2D2 and Palpatine evacuated to an escape shuttle, but were unable to escape the beast's claws. Anakin cut the ship in half and though it was not easy, all survived except for the Zillo Beast.
After a brief rest, Padmé agreed to aid Anakin and the Jedi Council and spy on her old friend - and once beau - Senator Rush Clovis. She agreed to accompany him to Cato Neimoidia to negotiate with the Trade Federation. However, during their interlude, Anakin showed his jealousy openly, which made things interesting.
However Padmé was able to spy on Clovis when he told the Geonosian Archduke Poggle the Lesser that he would lend no more credits to the Separatists to build a new droid foundry on Geonosis. Dod and Poggle soon learned of Clovis's infatuation with Padmé and planned to poison her to extract leverage.
During dinner, Dod poisoned her by talking her into sharing his drink. She soon, thereafter - on a tour with Clovis - succumbed to the effects. Yet, while Clovis fetched her something to drink, she took advantage of her time and downloaded the blueprints for the new droid foundry - she also stole a hologram disc.
She then returned to her room and passed out. Clovis discovered her role as a spy and tried to confront her - only to face an enraged Anakin instead. He realized the love between her and Anakin and offered the antidote in exchange for his holo-disc. While Padmé was carried back to the ship, Dod cornered them, but Clovis was able to take the antidote from him at gun-point. Then Anakin left Clovis behind to endure Dod's rage while he injected Padmé with the antidote.
Padmé turned her sights to Mandalore after nearly dying and discovered that the new Mandalorian government wanted to stay neutral in the war. However there was a radical faction that wanted to side with the Separatists called the Death Watch. They tried to assassinate Duchess Santine Kryze and Padmé informed her friend that the Galactic Senate had recently voted to occupy Mandalore based on tampered holo-recordings from the deceased Deputy Minister Jerec. In reality, Jerec wanted no intervention and wanted Mandalore issues to be solved by Mandalorians.
Duchess Kryze delivered the real holo-recordings despite the Death Watch's threats to Obi-Wan, who then delivered it to Padmé. She showed the Senate how the Minister truly felt and the occupation was halted, thus earning her the good will of the Duchess.
She knew of the kidnapped girls, Chi Eekway and Che Amanwe, by overhearing Ahsoka Tano speaking to her Master. (I assume she also knew of Ahsoka's success in rescuing said girls.)
Soon thereafter, she traveled to Mandalore to help them face economic issues - including a disruption in trade (thanks to the Clone Wars), shortage of goods and the presence of smugglers. Matters were complicated thanks to the New Mandalorian Ruling Council not having a set manner in which they could/would ask for aid from the Galactic Senate. Furthermore, Moogan smugglers entered the world at around the same time as she, adding toxic tea amongst the list of problems.
Upon visiting the hospital and seeing how many children were sick, Padmé and the Duchess traced the cause back to the tea - which had been served by the school. They learned when the next shipment would be and waited for it. They were shocked and disgusted by the custom's officers complicity and they reported it to the police captain - who first denied such a thing was happening and then reluctantly agreed. The Duchess burned down the dock warehouse where the tea was stored and reported to Prime Minister Almec about their findings. She then encouraged Padmé to ask the Jedi to investigate Royal Academy of Government and Padmé agreed to take the matter to Master Yoda.
Sometime later, Padmé attended a conference on Aldarnaan, which would address the plight of wartime refugees. Ahsoka warned her about some of her visions - wherein Padmé was killed by a bounty hunter who was supposed to be dead - but Padmé waved them off as nerves. However, during her speech, she was shot by said bounty hunter - though not fatally wounded.
Ahsoka then set up a trap wherein a droid who was dressed like Padmé would take her place and she would send her speech over telecommunications. However Sing (the bounty hunter) saw through the plan and tried to attack Padmé in her private quarters. Ahsoka foresaw this, intervened and was injured. Padmé stunned the bounty hunter with her concealed blaster. Because of the event, she and Ahsoka developed a warm friendship.
Whilst arranging a party for her fellow Senator, Aang, Padmé realized they were missing a key ingredient for one of the dishes. Thus, she and Anakin, sent two droids out to gather the item from the Coruscant market. While there, the droids were captured, their information taken and their memories wiped clean of what they had seen. The bounty hunter Cad Bane had been hired by the Hutt Council to rescue Ziro from prison and take the Galactic Senate hostage.
Thanks to the droids, he knew how to enter, overpower the guards and take everyone hostage. However, before he did so, Padmé and Anakin discussed going somewhere far away so that they could be alone for awhile. She disagreed with his offer - saying her work was too important - and he even gave her his lightsaber to prove that his life was in her hands. She hid said lightsaber up her sleeve when Senator Organa and C3PO entered her office, the former inviting her to attend a meeting about the Enhanced Privacy Invasion Bill. She followed Organa out and once in the meeting room, they were ambushed by Bane and his cohorts.
Then aggressive negotiations began between Bane and Palpatine for Ziro's release. Bane spotted Anakin on the upper floors and had him chased down. Padmé was present when he was brought back unconscious. Eventually, Palpatine agreed to Ziro's release and Bane set up bombs in the Senate lobby. Once Anakin came to, he cut through the floor with his lightsaber and brought himself, Padmé and the other Senators to safety before the bombs exploded.
After Padmé suggested opening negotiations with the Separatists to find a peaceful solution to the Clone Wars to the Galactic Senate, she was opposed (thanks to those in the Senate who wanted to continue making a profit off of the war). Said Senators wished to thwart her plans further by arranging for a Separatist attack on Coruscant.
She put herself in harm's way by traveling behind enemy lines in Raxus with Ahsoka. There, she met an old friend and mentor, Senator Mina Bonteri, and convinced her to petition the Galactic Senate and Separatist Senate to discuss a diplomatic solution. The Separatist Parliament approved - though, as always, there were some dissenters.
In the end, however, thanks to Count Dooku saying one thing and doing another - which included attacking Coruscant and creating a massive power outage - her efforts were in vain. The Galactic Senate passed a bill to deregulate the banks, which would undoubtedly further inflame the Separatists.
Around the same time, Kaminoan senator Halle Burtoni proposed a bill to the Galactic Senate for the creation of five million more clone troopers. Padmé and Bail Organa argued against passing such a bill, however Dooku then informed them that Bonteri had been killed (by what he assumed was the Republic). Other opponents of the bill were threatened and thus encouraged not to vote. Padmé, Farr and Organa were attacked by bounty hunters Robonino and Chata Hyoki. Organa was injured and Padmé made a speech in his honor, asking that no more credits be taken away from social services. Her speech was broadcasted on the HoloNet.
At a later toast, Farr died suddenly. He was found to have been poisoned. Padmé suspected Umbaran Denator Mee Deechi at first, but when he died, her suspicions shifted to Burtoni. She then deduced that Purs murdered Farr after a comment Divo made. She managed to get Purs to confess and then apprehended her by punching her in the face.
Regardless, Burtoni's bill was approved.
Padmé and Anakin then participated in the Battle of Mon Cala and the subsequent skirmish on Naboo. At the same time, she sent C3PO and R2D2 on a humanitarian mission to Aleen.
After, she attended a Confederate–Republic peace conference on Mandalore. Lux Bonteri was there - Mina's son - and Padmé feared for his life since he accused Dooku of his mother's death. She asked Ahsoka to protect him.
She then attended Obi-Wan's mock funeral. He was believed to have been killed by Rako Hardeen when in fact he was faking his death in order to infiltrate a plan to kidnap Palpatine. He himself would impersonate Hardeen.
Padmé welcomed Palpatine to Naboo for the Festival of Light and she (along with other delegates) was/were escorted to safety when the fighting began by Ahsoka. In the morning, she thanked the Jedi and she faced Dooku herself when he tried to capture the Chancellor (Palpatine) a second time - with the Palace Guard in tow no less.
When Ahsoka was accused of staging an attack on the Jedi Temple, Padmé spoke in her defense; in fact, she was one of the few who did.
Not long after, Padmé went on a diplomatic mission to Scipio. There, she met up with Clovis and discovered corruption in the InterGalactic Banking Clan. The pair then found out they were targets of Embo, but Anakin saved them. Clovis then became the head of the Banking Clan. Padmé discovered Clovis had done so on Dooku's behalf, however, and she warned Anakin. The Republic attacked and Clovis committed suicide.
Vos and Ventress were a pair that eerily mirrored what Anakin and Padmé might/could become one day. Vos was a Master Jedi and Ventress was an Apprentice Sith, yet they claimed to be in love. Anakin thought the love false - how could a Sith love? - but Padmé thought that said love might bring Vos back to the Light Side (if he had truly changed to be with Ventress).
Despite having little alone time (outside of spare moments captured here and there), Padmé somehow became pregnant - which was a joyful discovery for both parents. Anakin fell further and further under Palpatine's spell and by the time Padmé learned the truth, it was far too late. He Force Choked her when she tried to plead with him - assuming she was having an affair with Obi-Wan - and all the stress and pain led to her giving birth to their twins not long after Obi-Wan defeated Anakin, leaving him without his limbs and burned so badly it seemed impossible he would survive.
Obi-Wan was by her side when she gave birth and she left her twins, Luke and Leia, in his care. During her funeral, her body was prepared in such a way that she still looked pregnant so as to conceal the identity of the twins should AnakinDarth Vader wish to pursue them. (I will be taking her from the moment of her death - thus that last tidbit of information isn't applicable, obviously.)
Padmé perished from a "broken heart", which simply meant that she lost the will to live after suffering through so much with Anakin.
